This is about affects or intentions of verbs. Specifically, it includes voluntary & involuntary verbs, impersonal, intransitive, reflexive & non-reflexive verbs, ability or possibility of actions, causative, reciprocity, active voice and passive voice.

Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of the program, the student will be able to:

  1. Identify and understand the different types of verbs; 
  2. Understand the affect of a verb to the subject and object of the statement;
  3. Acquire sufficient range of verb vocabulary and use them with their correct meaning;
  4. Apply proper affix or combination of affixes to form a verb;
  5. Use the verbs properly in a sentence; and
  6. Acquire an intermediate knowledge of Tagalog verbs.

This course aims to introduce the set of Filipino alphabet while teaching its students how to properly pronounce Tagalog vowels as well as Tagalog consonant-vowel combination. It also aims to discuss the use of accent marks and stresses while introducing few Tagalog words.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to:
  1. Say the sounds of Tagalog vowels;
  2. Say the sounds of consonant-vowel combinations and understand that these combinations can be a part of a syllable to some Tagalog words;
  3. Understand and apply the use of stress marks to lots of words;
  4. Understand and apply the subtle differences of some Tagalog words that are spelled the same but having various meanings; and
  5. Say Tagalog words confidently.
